The website, mobile application, and related features are collectively referred to as the “Services.”
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Bodine Math is intended for students who are at least 13 years old, as well as parents, educators, and other adults.
We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information, contact us at brett@bodinemath.com. We will investigate and take appropriate steps to remove the account and associated information.
The information we collect depends on which parts of the Services you use.
When you create or use a Bodine Math account, we may collect:

Passwords are processed through our WordPress account system and are not stored in readable form.
When you use the AI tutor, Try Cycle, Quit Pit, practice tools, or ACT-preparation features, we may process:

This information is used to provide tutoring, maintain appropriate conversation context, personalize learning features, enforce account limits, and improve the safety and usefulness of the Services.
You may choose to upload a screenshot or take a photograph of a math problem.
The mobile application requests access to your camera or photo library only when you choose to use one of these features. Selecting an image does not submit it automatically. The image is submitted only when you send it with a tutor or practice request.
Uploaded images may be transmitted to our AI service provider for processing so that the math problem can be interpreted.
Please avoid including unnecessary personal information in an uploaded image, including:
Faces
Full names
Student identification numbers
School records
Addresses
Contact information
Information belonging to another person
Bodine Math does not use homework images for advertising.
When you purchase a membership, subscription, product, or download, we may collect or receive:
Billing name
Billing address
Shipping address

Product or membership purchased
Subscription status
Renewal or expiration date

Purchase-verification information
Payment information is processed by third-party providers such as Stripe, PayPal, Google Play, or another provider displayed during checkout.

Bodine Math uses OpenAI services to help generate tutor responses and certain practice content.
When you use an AI-powered feature, information needed to answer the request may be sent to OpenAI for processing. Depending on the feature, this may include:
Your current math question
Your attempted work
Recent conversation context
Try Cycle information
An attached homework image
Relevant lesson information
Instructions that guide the tutor’s teaching method
AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or fail to follow the requested teaching method. Students should review important work and consult a teacher or another qualified person when appropriate.
Users may report an inaccurate, inappropriate, offensive, or unsafe AI response through the reporting feature provided in the application.
Website memberships are managed through our website and Paid Memberships Pro. Website payments may be processed by Stripe, PayPal, or another payment provider displayed during checkout.
Android subscriptions may be processed through Google Play. Google may provide us with information needed to verify and maintain subscription access, including:
Product identifier
Subscription status
Purchase-verification information
Renewal or expiration date
Cancellation status
Grace-period status
Payment-hold status
Refund or revocation status
Bodine Math uses this information to determine whether an account is entitled to paid features.
Google Play and website memberships are managed according to the terms and privacy practices of the provider that processes the payment.

Tutor conversation history may be retained temporarily to provide conversational context.
Operational tutor history is limited and generally expires automatically.
Internal usage and cost analytics may be retained for up to 365 days.
Account and membership information is retained while the account remains active.
Support messages may be retained while needed to resolve the request and maintain appropriate business records.
AI-response reports may be retained while needed to investigate safety, accuracy, or policy concerns.
Order, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, refund, and dispute records may be retained as required for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Account data is deleted or anonymized following an approved deletion request, except where continued retention is legally required.
Temporary backups may retain deleted information for a limited period before being overwritten.

You may request deletion of your Bodine Math account and associated personal information.

We may verify your identity before completing a deletion request.
Account deletion removes or anonymizes information associated with the account, including applicable:

Tutor history
Try Cycle information
Learning activity
Account-linked analytics
Uploaded homework information retained by Bodine Math
Membership connections
We may retain limited information when required for payment records, taxes, refunds, disputes, security, fraud prevention, or other legal obligations.
Deleting a Bodine Math account and canceling a paid subscription are separate actions.
Google Play subscriptions must be canceled through Google Play.
Website memberships must be canceled through the Bodine Math membership account or applicable payment provider.
Removing the mobile application does not cancel a subscription.
